Remembering Dreams

So, i began to write a dream journal, but i only remember the dream on average every third day.
When i woke up this morning, i had not a f**king clue what it was, not even slightly.
But i will keep on going, im performing now reality checks very often, wikipedia has a good sections about those
...

hm, i can't find them, maybe they took them down
Anyways, i will post some more information soon

edit: got it: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Lucid_Dreaming/Induction_Techniques#Reality_checks

  1. dream journals are tough to start, i found its best to do it right when you wake up before you even get out of bed. Sit up and write. Good luck!

  5. I've the problem that as soon as I wake up and go "oh wow, that was a cool dream, I'd better remember it!" I fall asleep. Sleep brings forgetfulness, and then I wake again, and have no recollection whatsoever of the dream, and feel like I've been robbed of something precious.

    Shit sucks, man.

  12. Thats cool that you do that, but I dont really see the point in writing a journal :/.

But I do be having some crazy ass dreams.

  13. Dream journals are hard to start like those above me have pointed out. Once you keep it up for a few months you'll have more memory of and better control over your dreams. :]

  29. i remember my dreams most every night, i find that the secret is not opening your eyes when you wake up, lounge lazily in your bed for up to 20 minutes and try to fall asleep again. after a few weeks of this you'll be able to fall back asleep and the when you wake up AGAIN, you'll remember most if not all of the dream.

check out my blog, its full of interesting things

  31. I agree with big poppa, as soon as you realise you're awake you have to struggle to fight of consciousness. The notebook/pen by the bed advice is good too, then it's just a matter of interpreting the dreams correctly, rather than just remembering them. Good luck!
